Tackling international tax evasion through data exchange: published online the agreement between Italy’s Revenue Agency and the IRS
The automatic exchange of information between Italy and the United States moves quickly to reached the targeted goals. The Italian Revenue Agency and its counterpart, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), have in fact chosen to publicly share, from now, the full text of the agreement that defines the rules and procedures necessary to run the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) signed January 10, 2014 by the two countries.
Italian Soccer Federation and the Revenue Agency: green light to the new tax agreement
The Italian Revenue Agency has recently renewed a tax protocol with the Italian national soccer federation (FIGC) to extend an agreement intended to enhance the Agency's oversight of the tax affairs of the professional clubs within the federation's ambit. The Revenue’s Director, Rossella Orlandi, and the President of the FIGC, Carlo Tavecchio, have both signed the protocol whose main goal is to follow an in depth financial balance verification of professional clubs for the upcoming 2016/2017 season.
The timing of the agreement - The agreement, which was first concluded in 2008, is to run for a further year, to February 28, 2017, after which both sides can determine whether it should be further renewed.
