A key change of strategy marks the new fiscal path that appears built on an innovative cooperative-dialogue between taxpayers and the Agency.
The Italian Revenue Agency achieved record results from its tax compliance enforcement actions for the second year in succession, collecting EUR14.9bn in 2015, up from EUR14.2bn in the previous year. During the presentation of its 2015 annual results, on March 1, the Agency’s Director, Rossella Orlandi, said that “the revenue growth from our tax compliance activities is due to the concentration of the Agency’s tax enforcement activities on specific sectors that are widely considered to be at high risk of tax avoidance and also thanks to the introduction of new tax tools and innovative services targeted to taxpayers”.
