With the beginning of the new school year, Italian Revenue Agency comes back among the students with the initiative “Tax and school”. The project’s aim is to spread tax awareness to children and teenagers in order to build a long-term relationship of trust with the “future taxpayers”.

The project
Since 2004, our officers meet the students of primary and secondary schools in all Italian regions. The project is included into the circular letter on the financial education that the Italian Ministry of Education sends to the schools every year.
Our officers organize meetings with students at schools or webinars, or the students go into our offices to know better our activities. Moreover, the Agency organize competitions among the students to stimulate their creativity on the tax legality issue.

The collaboration with the Revenue-Collection Agency
For the second year, the collaboration with the Revenue-Collection Agency continues. The two tax Agencies have realized two digital educational notebooks, one for the primary school and one for the secondary school. The two editorial products explain to children and teenagers with a multimedia and simple language the importance of paying taxes to guarantee the public services (schools, hospitals, police, etc.) to all citizens. The two editorial products make more accessible the tax issues thank to the use of movies, songs, cartoons, games, etc.

The website
The Agency’s website has a section dedicated to the project with the information and with several educational products (leaflets, cartoons, fairy tales, games, etc.) that can be freely used both at home and at school. The didactic materials are subdivide into three sections, each of which is addressed to a specific age group (5-10; 11-13 and 14-18 years).
